Well, We caught a pug without even trying! Mr. Nosy here had to see what the ice fishing bucket was all about at 10 on a Sunday night. And he just happened to hook himself to a fly (a 3 prong, barbed fly) that just happened to still be connected to a fishing pole... a $200 trip to doggy ER later. ....

January 8: Safety First
This definitely seems safe......
Notice where the little finger is pointing? That's the power line that connects our home to the rest of the electrified world. And it's completely bogged down by snow and ice and twisted up, swaying in the wind. Totes safe!

Everlasting peace... easy to imagine in this snowy wonderland
I thought my daily devotional was perfect for today's weather and also calming down after a crazy holiday season. We all need to remember to bring quietness to our soul. In that way, God is kind of like a fresh blanket of snow on our hearts I suppose. Btw, these pictures don't do this storm justice (a storm which is still happening! ) We measured over a foot of new powder in less than 12 hours!
And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever. (NLT) -Isaiah 32:17
There will be a day when the Lord will bring everlasting peace. Though that time hasn't come, yet, we can still have temporary peace. Call on the Holy Spirit to bring quietness to your soul. Take time to meditate on an uplifting scripture. Get some fresh air to ease your body. Be at rest with the Lord.

November 23
I was a little wary about the drive home when I read the winter storm watch, but the drive home was actually quite pleasant. I stopped along Flathead Lake and snapped this photo because it was reminding me of the Oregon coast.
